If you think you’re a victim of identity theft, or if you notice unusual activity on your TrustMe account, we invite you to act quickly.
A few steps can help secure your account and allow our teams to review your situation.
Report the situation to TrustMe support right away
If you think someone is using your identity or your account without your permission, contact our support team to report the situation.
To help our teams review your request as quickly as possible, please provide at least:
- your first and last name
- the phone number linked to your account
- your email address
Also explain what makes you think your identity may have been stolen. The more context you give us, the faster our teams can understand the situation and assist you.
Remember to secure your account
If you think someone may have access to your TrustMe account, we recommend changing your password immediately.
You can check our dedicated article for the steps to follow to change your password.
What information should I share with support?
Anything that helps explain what happened can be useful. You can notably share:
- screenshots
- messages you’ve received
- unusual emails or notifications
- any information that raised concern
- an explanation of the circumstances in which you discovered the situation
This information will help our experts better understand your situation and determine what action to take.
Can my account be blocked?
Yes.
If the situation requires it, our support team may request that your account be blocked to protect your identity and prevent any unauthorized use. This measure is taken after our experts have reviewed your situation.
If you think you’re a victim of identity theft, we therefore recommend contacting us quickly and sharing all the information you have.
Be careful not to confuse identity theft with an existing account
The fact that a phone number is already linked to a TrustMe account doesn’t necessarily mean identity theft has occurred.
A situation can have several explanations and needs to be reviewed by our support team. If you encounter this type of issue, contact us so we can check your situation.
