How to reset your password

Tap "Forgot password"

Step 1: forgot password

No need to worry! On the sign-in screen, just below the password field, tap Forgot password to start the reset.

Enter your number and start the reset

Steps 2 and 3: entering your phone number

Enter the phone number you normally use to sign in to TrustMe, then tap Create a new password.

Verify your phone number

Step 4: verifying your number by SMS

An SMS with a 6-digit code has just been sent to this number. Enter it, then tap Send.

Confirm your identity

Step 5: confirming via your ID document

If you've registered an ID card or passport, enter the last 5 characters of its number (in uppercase if needed). Don't have it on hand? You can simply skip this step.

Depending on your document, this number isn't always in the same place. Here's where to find it:

The last 5 characters of the number, at the top right of the page.

The last 5 digits of the number, at the top of the card.
Example of a French residence permit
Residence permit
The last 5 characters, right after the first 2 letters, at the top right.
Example of an ID card with a preferred name
Recent ID card
The last 5 characters of the document number, in the center of the card.

Create your new password

Steps 6 and 7: creating your new password

Last step: choose a new password following the usual rules:

  • 12 characters minimum
  • 1 uppercase letter
  • 1 number
  • 1 special character

Example: Bernard@1970

Confirm it, then tap Send. Congratulations, your password has been reset and you can access your account again!
