Which documents are accepted as proof of bank details on TrustMe?

In certain situations, TrustMe may ask you to provide proof of your bank account details (known in France as a RIB) to complete your file with a partner organization.

Important note: the RIB is currently only requested for processes carried out with our partner Synergie. If your process doesn't require proof of bank details, you won't be asked for one.

In the future, other partners may also request this type of document. In any case, you keep control over how your data is shared: your bank details are only sent to a partner once you’ve given your consent.

Which bank documents are accepted?

You can provide a French or foreign bank details document, as long as it allows the necessary banking information to be verified for your process. The country where your bank account is domiciled is not, by itself, a reason for exclusion.

The document must be in your own name. A document belonging to someone else cannot be accepted, even if that person allows you to use it.

Which formats can I use?

TrustMe accepts several document formats:

  • a PDF file
  • a photo of the document
  • a screenshot
  • a document downloaded directly from your banking app

If you use a photo or a screenshot, make sure all the necessary information is perfectly visible and legible.

Which information needs to be visible?

To be verified, your document must be complete and clearly show the necessary information, in particular:

  • your first and last name as the account holder
  • your IBAN
  • your BIC
  • your bank’s details

All information must be visible and perfectly legible. A cropped or blurry document, or one where some information is hidden, may be rejected.

Does TrustMe check that the bank details belong to me?

Yes.

TrustMe doesn’t just check that the document looks like proof of bank details and that the banking information is legible.

We also check that the information on the document is consistent with the identity verified in TrustMe. This check helps confirm that the bank account provided genuinely belongs to the person carrying out the process.

This is one of TrustMe’s key strengths: we don’t just collect a document, we verify that it’s genuine and consistent with the user’s identity.

Which documents are not accepted?

The document must be an official bank document and must not have been altered. The following documents may be rejected:

  • a handwritten document
  • a document with crossed-out or altered information
  • a document where some information is hidden
  • a document that’s too blurry or hard to read
  • a document belonging to someone else

We recommend submitting the original bank document, or one downloaded from your bank, without any changes.

When do I need to provide my bank details?

You’ll be asked for your bank details directly within your TrustMe journey when this information is needed for your process with a staffing agency.

If you’re not asked for it during your journey, you don’t need to provide one.

Who can access my bank details?

Your bank details aren’t freely accessible to all TrustMe partners.

When sharing your bank details is necessary, you must give your consent for the information to be sent to the relevant partner.

You keep control over how your data is shared and must give your consent for each relevant process.

What should I do if my document is rejected?

If your document is rejected, you can simply try again with another document. Before trying again, check in particular that:

  • the document is in your own name
  • the IBAN and BIC are perfectly legible
  • your bank’s details are visible
  • the document is complete and not cropped
  • the document hasn’t been altered or crossed out
  • the photo or screenshot is sharp enough
  • the information matches your identity

If your new document meets these conditions, it can be submitted for a new review.
